Supporting Feed Production and Post-Harvest Management in Rwanda.

Contract timeline: August  – September 2020

Objective:

The main objective of the evaluation is to assess the overall achievement of the Project and quality of implementation as well as the impact of the Project on relevant stakeholders and beneficiaries.

Scope of the assignment:

The research experts from L4D research centre  will work with KREI to document the Project progress based on the outcomes using a clear impact assessment and  result-oreinted methodology. This evaluation aims to:

  • Assess the construction of feed production and post-harvest management facilities in Huye region, Southern district;
  • Assess enhanced awareness and capacity of managers and practitioners from relevant institutions, who participated in the training program;
  • Perform a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA[1]) of the Huye Feed company;
  • Evaluate the increasing trends of domestic commercial feeds usage and national competency of livestock industry in Rwanda;
  • Evaluate the relevance and consistency of the activities and outputs of the Project with the overall goal, impact and the attainment of the Project;
  • Measure the factors influencing the acheivement or non-achievement of the Project objectives;
  • Evaluate the Project sustainability and assess the needs for next-phase project and/or post-project management;
  • Assess women’s participation and environment influence in Project’s activities.
