Objective:
The overall objective of the Baseline Survey is to collect data that will be used for the project and participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) perspectives so that project interventions may be tracked to come up with strategic plan that can help Good Neighbors Rwanda (GNR) to achieve assigned project goal and outcomes
Scope of work:
The project has three main development outcomes namely income generation, climate change adaptation and value chain creation of agriculture production. Tasks assigned to the HLC-L4D include:
- Provide information related to households in terms of income generating activities within the area of intervention
- Assess the socio-economic and demographic characteristics of the target population (age, sex, migration, education, social relationship, etc.);
- Evaluate income and expenditure patterns of the sample households across the three sectors;
- Assess the living conditions such as the status of houses, livelihoods assets land uses production trends;
- Evaluate existing economic activities in the selected sectors of Nyamiyaga, Mugina and Rugalika sectors;
- Document various resources available, resource use, existing market and potential markets;
Establish the land use status and the land reclamation within the sectors of study
