Biography
Mr. Patrick Byishimo is an agricultural economist with a Master’s Degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from University of Zimbabwe with specialty in agricultural policy and quantitative analysis obtained from University of Pretoria (UP), South Africa. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from the former National University of Rwanda (NUR). He is a co-founder of the High Lands Centre of Leadership for Development (HLC-L4D), a research and mentorship Centre based in Kigali, Rwanda. Currently, he is permanently serving as a research fellow in department of research and consultancy. He has an extensive research experience of about 7 years and he has conducted about 25 consultancy research projects as research fellow and analyst especially in areas of socio-economic impact assessment, policy design and evaluation, project monitoring and evaluation, gender studies, economics of climate change, among others. In addition to his role, as research fellow, he has an outstanding experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and good knowledge of using statistical software such as Excel, SurveyCTO, E-views, SPSS, and STATA for analysis purposes.
